In her practice, Monika counsels people on skin care diets, weight loss, diets for other medical conditions, teenagers and athletes.  After an initial enrollment interview, she keeps her clients motivated to make lifestyle changes through regular counseling sessions.  Monika Mahajan has been practicing wellness for the last 18 years with a background in Nutrition, Dietetics, Homeopathic Medicine and Reiki.  She graduated from Columbia University in 2010 with her Masters in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology and completed her internship to be a Registered Dietitian in 2013. She is also a food stylist and a student of Vedanta who is a firm believer in being holistic and incorporates those views into patient counseling.

Currently Monika works as a clinical dietitian at the East Orange General Hospital’s – Weight Loss and Metabolic Center, where she counsels her clients about how to make right foods choices.   She believes that “We are what we eat.” Food is essential to nourish your body for a glowing skin and a fundamental building block.  She also runs a private practice where she specializes in plant based diet and the use of adaptogens.

Her blog combines nutrition knowledge with fun and easy to make healthy recipes so you can incorporate as you choose into your own lifestyle.  She will be bogging to connect directly with you and demystify food industry propaganda on claims like “clean” or “natural” or “super”.
